G-Drive Solutions, Inc. (GDSI) was the brainchild of Mr. Tony Betia, President & Chairman, whose extensive experience in industrial generator sets and auxiliaries dates back to 1991. His career began as a sales engineer for the genset group of the Philippines’ Cummins USA distributor, where he was one of the top sales contributors. In 1993, he joined the Perkins U.K. Philippine Distributor Group and was the undisputed top sales performer for 17 years—a first in his industry. His succeeding role as Export Division Head involved exporting locally assembled gensets manufactured in the Clark Special Economic Zone and successfully converting Philippine competitors into partner dealer-distributors for the domestic market—probably the first successful genset OEM initiative in the Philippines.

Since 1991, he has received extensive training from Cummins USA, Marathon Electric USA, Perkins U.K., Stamford U.K., Leroy Somer France, Mecc-Alte SPA Italy, and other major genset component manufacturers on all engine applications, Industrial Open Power Units (IOPUs), and auxiliaries across their plants in the USA, UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. A prolific engineer, he has meticulously inspected numerous assembly and manufacturing plants, ensuring absolute quality management across each process in the supply chain. He has closed sales and managed the successful turnover of over 4,000 gensets and genset projects powered by Cummins, Perkins, MTU, Lombardini, and Yangdong. These gensets are installed in major applications across industries, including telecommunications, high-rise and commercial buildings, manufacturing plants, petroleum stations and depots, resorts and hotels, prominent restaurant chains, shopping malls, retail centers, BPOs, hospitals, universities and schools, residences, farms and agriculture, FMCG, F&B, major tollways such as the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Skyway projects, bridges, pumping stations, flood control systems, government computerization and digital transformation projects, and other public infrastructure works throughout the Philippines and beyond. To this day, these generators continue to provide their users with uninterrupted emergency power.

To continue the mission of providing the Philippines with uninterrupted standby power solutions, G-Drive Solutions, Inc. was incorporated in 2014 and began actively marketing industrial generator sets, auxiliaries, and supporting services in early 2015. From its humble beginnings in a borrowed 20-ft shipping container as an office, the GDSI team—driven by faith, passion, and untiring perseverance—completed its very first project: powering a series of restaurants for a prominent fast-food chain. Just days later, GDSI undertook its first service-related project to maintain these generators.

In the short span of a decade, G-Drive Solutions, Inc. successfully supplied and commissioned nearly two thousand (2,000) generator sets of various capacities, ranging from 5.5 to 2,500 kVA. G-Drive Solutions gensets can be found in prominent restaurant chains and QSRs, food and beverage manufacturing, oil industry applications, universities, hospitals, supermarkets, shopping malls, places of worship, hotels, and high-rise commercial and residential towers, strategically deployed across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—providing reliable and uninterrupted power for its clients.

Since its founding, G-Drive Solutions has followed its “Customer First” philosophy—committing to the highest standards of operational excellence and product quality, coupled with unprecedented after-sales service and support that goes beyond equipment warranty. Going beyond what is expected, it is the only generator company in the Philippines widely known to service its nationwide clients even during typhoons and severe weather conditions. A chief executive of the largest multinational F&B manufacturer describes GDSI’s service in one word—“unprecedented.”

The company’s commitment to world-class quality extends beyond its ISO 9001 and 14001-certified equipment, as it is the first generator company in the Philippines—and possibly in Southeast Asia—to seek ISO certification for management and operations.

G-Drive has since developed a centralized office, service, and warehouse facility capable of storing related testing and lifting equipment, as well as nearly 100 gensets with power ratings ranging from 5.5 kVA to 2,500 kVA. The continued loyalty of G-Drive’s partners serves as a testament to its world-class quality and commitment to standby power, with some client relationships dating back to the 1990s and Tony’s original team.

To date, the company continues its mission of providing reliable standby power solutions to businesses, individuals, and public functions that need them.
